Fake engagement is a thing on social media, especially if you are utilizing paid ads.
I noticed this post earlier. I'm not here to bash the person doing their posts - shit happens and you grab a wrong image. What did catch my attention was this post for Sweet & Sour Chicken with the image of strawberry shortcake had 1.2K replies on it. Only a few people pointed out the obvious error. The majority were "oh ya, looks great" type comments.
It's busy managing social and typically other tasks as well but consider if your dollars are well spent if your paid posts are getting spam engagement. How does that benefit your company? How does that reflect on your company to encourage this?
